Head of Integrations

Cordance, an acquirer of vertically focused SaaS companies, is looking to hire a leader of M&A integrations. M&A is a core element of our growth strategy, and this individual will be responsible for one of Cordance’s critical business processes. This is a dynamic role that will collaborate directly with founders and CEOs of acquired firms and professionals across Cordance.

Objectives

• Integrate and onboard acquired companies
• Develop integration playbook that drives execution and accountability
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on project status and identify opportunities, challenges and trends
• Enhance Cordance’s operating processes

Responsibilities

• Develop Cordance’s integration playbook including pre-integration diligence, day 1 activities and post-close integration plan
• Lead the end-to-end integration process both strategically and tactically in coordination with employees across Cordance
• Pre-acquisition, collaborate with the due diligence/M&A team to develop integration plan and communicate all findings and impacts with relevant parties (e.g., finance, HR, operations)
• Post-acquisition, lead weekly integration steering meetings with Cordance’s finance, HR, operations and M&A teams and executives of the acquired company; ensure accountability and efficient completion of integration workstreams
• Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including Controllership, Tax, Payroll, Billing, Account Receivable, FP&A, Legal, Human Resources, Technology and Sales/Operations
• Collaborate with finance to map and convert data to enable post-transaction reporting
• Develop tracking and reporting framework; reporting to be shared with executives and, at times, Cordance’s board of directors
• Identify and surface initiatives that are off-track or at-risk
• Maintain Cordance’s internal data repository for acquired companies that includes key agreements, contracts, financial data and other information
• Manage multiple integrations concurrently while also assisting in building out the integration playbook
• Assist with other ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

• 8+ years professional experience
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Collaborative, team player
• Work ethic and sense of urgency
• Self-starter and ability to work with limited direction in unstructured environment
• Experience integrating companies or experience working in the corporate development division of an acquisitive company
• Experience working in a SaaS company a plus
• Proven ability to work directly with C-level executives a plus
• Experience working with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) a plus
